Radio Debate: Reshma Saujani, Carolyn Maloney

If FDR were around today, he would NOT be doing radio chats. He would disapprove of these two East Side politicians doing a radio chat. FDR would be doing YouTube, like Barack Obama is. I don't understand Maloney's love for radio technology. Or maybe I do.

New York Times: Debate In House Race Stirs Big Passions For A Small Audience: a long-awaited radio debate .... abruptly hit Ms. Maloney with a tough question about her ethics..... when Ms. Saujani chimed in that “Carolyn Maloney just lied,” Mr. Louis left the accusation hanging ..... WWRL-AM (1600), which ranks about 50th among stations in the metropolitan area ....... The primary contest has grown increasingly heated as election day draws near, with each woman calling the other dishonest and desperate. ..... refused several invitations to debate her rival on television ..... Saujani had raised $1.36 million ..... Saujani pounded her again and again, belittling her recent legislative record by calling her a “member of Congress emeritus” and denigrating her intellect by questioning Ms. Maloney’s mastery of Wall Street jargon. ..... “If I were to ask Carolyn Maloney what a basis point is, she probably doesn’t know,” Ms. Saujani said. ..... “People are sick and tired of the corruption and lack of ethics and integrity,” Ms. Saujani said. ...... Ms. Maloney seemed to stumble here, saying, “I was not involved in fund-raising,” though she did not deny having attended the two events or that her campaign team, in which she presumably has some role, had arranged them. ......Saujani kept on the attack until the end, accusing Ms. Maloney of doing too little for Queens and of taking sole credit for achievements that were not hers alone, from the Second Avenue subway line to the establishment of a new bank in Queensbridge. And she tried to deflate Ms. Maloney’s passage of credit card reform legislation last year by noting that a delay in its implementation allowed card issuers to raise interest rates.

Gothamist: Obama To Support 9/11 Health Bill: "The president looks forward to signing the 9/11 health bill into law, once it passes both houses of Congress, to help the first responders whose health and livelihood were devastated by the events of September 11th."
Carolyn Maloney was running up and down the street a few months ago trying to take credit for the credit card bill. After being in Congress for so long and making Wall Street bad behavior possible, after being the enabler supreme, Maloney was now going to get a facelift and present herself as the person of the people.

Carolyn Maloney's Newest Lie

The credit for that credit card bill goes to Barack Obama, the man in charge. Maloney should stop taking credit for the Brooklyn Bridge, (And I'd Like To Take Credit For The Brooklyn Bridge) Maloney should stop taking credit for a non existent Second Avenue subway line, (Carolyn Maloney's Work On The Second Avenue Subway Line) and Maloney should stop taking credit for the credit card bill. (Obama Has No Business Kissing Maloney)

Now this 9/11 health bill has a great chance of passing, and thanks to presidential support. The credit will go to Barack Obama.

The president letting Maloney fail with the 9/11 health bill is a president saying this was not the person behind the credit card bill either.

And I'd Like To Take Credit For The Brooklyn Bridge

The view of Brooklyn Bridge from ManhattanImage via WikipediaAt least the Brooklyn Bridge exists. The Second Avenue subway line, have you been riding it? It does not exist. How ridiculous of Maloney to try and take credit for a non existent Second Avenue subway line that has been worked upon on and off since 1920?

Carolyn Maloney's Work On The Second Avenue Subway Line

Going by her record, I also expect her to take credit for having earned the right to vote on behalf of women.

Sorry, but I have absolutely no respect for Carolyn Maloney, and I can't pretend otherwise. She is a lying, exaggerating politician. She is a mediocrity.

Carolyn Maloney's Work On The Second Avenue Subway Line

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney: "Ten years ago, when we first started talking about the possibility of building a Second Avenue Subway, people scoffed. I have been championing the project in Congress...."
Maloney has been taking credit for a non existent Second Avenue subway line on the campaign trail. Maloney lacks integrity at a fundamental level.

  1. In 1920 Maloney first came up with the idea.
  2. The Great Depression disrupted her work. Shame on the Great Depression.
  3. World War II disrupted her work. Shame on World War II.
  4. She got back to work after World War II was finally over.
  5. Every time Maloney tried to get down to work, the estimated cost went up, and so Maloney was perturbed. But she kept looking for fresh starts every few years for decades.
  6. 1972. Maloney was part of a groundbreaking, one of many it seems.
  7. In the 1990s Maloney got down to it again. Her enthusiasm was still at a high level after decades of false starts.
  8. Many steps, small and big, were taken all through the 1990s and the 2000s. Maloney would like to take credit for them all.
And now you know how the Second Avenue subway line came to be. Go take a ride. Enjoy. And sign the online petition that wants the Second Avenue subway line renamed in Carolyn Maloney's name.

Reshma Saujani Goes on the Attack Against Carolyn Maloney in Upper East Side Congressional Race
May 21, 2010 ..... Maloney ripped off her ideas on immigration and entrepreneurial innovation. ...... Carolyn Maloney Recycles Hillary Clinton "Endorsement" On Campaign Website
The Upper East Side congresswoman's website shows an apparent endorsement from the former senator..... Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has proposed a spate of immigration and economic development bills that challenger Reshma Saujani said borrow from her own ideas. ........ AsSecretary of StateHillary Clinton can't endorse political candidates. But that hasn't stopped Carolyn Maloney from recycling an old quote and using an image of Clinton to make it look like the former senator is backing the Upper East Side congresswoman's reelection bid.
